Currently I've completed modeling my poison dart frog model. Which is the main focus of this project.
Now it's on to the texturing part.
For this project both the character and the scenery are going to be bioluminescent. I've had some practice with using bioluminescence with my umbreon model
For starters one inspiration for this model is the bobtail squid. So with this model I cannot just have it emitting lights on the surface of the mesh I will have to experiment and get the right look for emitting light from beneath the skin. There will be some lighting along the surface of the skin, I've found a pattern from a fish I'd like to almost mimic on him. Right now the wip image I have does not do the test material justice as the lamps are shining light onto the mesh reducing the bioluminescent look. But I'm getting close to a suitable material.
For the scenery there will be a mix of bioluminescent and regular plants It's going to be a night scene and I would like to not flood the scene with light.
If all goes well I will have this project done sometime next week. So far I'm ahead of schedule which is a first.
After this project I will get to work on my christmas project.
